Dear Entrepreneurs, We are delighted to announce that Mowgli Foundation is accepting applications for the entrepreneurs mentoring programme due to run 14-16 December 2010 in Jordan. PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION At Mowgli we aim to stimulate enterprise and entrepreneurship through the power of mentoring. We match mentors with aspiring entrepreneurs to create a two-way relationship with leaders who act as mentors benefitting from accelerated leadership development, the deepening of inbuilt competencies & skills, and the reigniting of entrepreneurial capabilities, while entrepreneurs (mentees) benefit from practical and emotional support, increased self confidence and targeted personal development to support them in building a successful and sustainable business. To find out more please visit our website www.mowgli.org.uk PROGRAMME CONTENT Our year long Mowgli Mentoring Experience commences with a 2-day introduction to mentoring programme which incorporates mentee and mentor matching, relationship building and the development of a framework by which the mentee and mentor will operate for the remainder of the year. The year-long mentoring relationships then commence, supported by Mowgli throughout. COURSE DATES and DURATION The programme will be offered over a 3 day period at Feynan Eco Lodge, Jordan and it will be hosted by Mowgli Foundation and Young Entrepreneurs Amman commencing 14 December and ending on 16 December, 2010. Travel dates will be 14 December and 16 December 8:00-11:00. COST AND SPONSORSHIP The Mowgli Mentoring Programme will be fully sponsored for entrepreneurs. Sponsorship will cover tuition, course materials, accommodation, teas and lunches and dinners during the course. Participants are however, advised to take out personal and health insurance as the organisers cannot take liabilities in this regard. ELIGIBILITY Prospective participants are expected to meet the following criteria: · Trade for at least a year and are a small to medium sized business in Jordan · Vision, diligence and perseverance in establishing the business · Integrity and respect for the rule of law · Personal qualities of leadership that can provide inspiration to other potential entrepreneurs · English spoken essential · IT literate and access to internet · Able to commit to the programme for a year (minimum 2 hours per month plus the initial 2-day programme · Willingness to pass on the benefits of mentoring BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME By the end of their time with Mowgli mentees will have: · Enhanced their chances of achieving business success · An opportunity to gain access to new markets · Received guidance during key transitions and decisions in growing their business · Increased confidence in their ability to take business to the next level · The personal reward of achieving long-lasting impact on the success and sustainability of their business · Learned about themselves and broaden their perspective on life · Understood the value of mentoring as a leadership development tool · A deeper understanding of their power to influence · Learned new skills from their mentor and fellow mentees and new approaches to challenges · Learned the art of working across cultures · Built contacts with a broad array of like-minded fellow professionals APPLICATION PROCEDURES Deadline for receipt of applications is Monday, 29 November 2010.
