The Entrepreneur of the Year Award

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award was created by the YEA in appreciation and recognition of an entrepreneur for her/his effort for that specific year. The award is presented to the selected individual at the Annual Anniversary ceremony.

Methodology:

1. The Entrepreneur of the Year Award is to be promoted through Jordan Post Box, once in the Jordan Times, and once in Al Rai Newspapers.

2. A letter to be sent out by e-mail to all YEA members, in addition to non-members on the YEA mailing list.

3. The same letter to be sent out by fax, to the YEA fax list.

4. The letter contains a description of the award and along with a general criteria and a nomination form.

5. Recipients of the letter may nominate any individual they feel deserves such an award.

6. List of nominees will be sent out exclusively to YEA members to vote, along with a short description (from the form) next to each name.

7. After receiving from YEA members, the final list of top 10 nominees, nominees will be contacted by YEA Public Relations and Communications Officer to ask them for an executive summary.

8. An evaluation committee consists of one staff member, PR committee chairperson, the president and another two Board members, is to be formed to select the winner according to the executive summary the nominees presented, and to the number of points they get according to the selection criteria.
